Long Live Zouk Weekender
In lieu of NYC Zouk Festival, we will be holding a "LONG LIVE ZOUK" Weekender, the last weekend of September and in the heart of fall with some amazing artists who will be integrating their styles of teaching!
ABOUT THE UPCOMING WEEKENDER
We are excited to announce that Gui Prada and Kelsey Rote, best known for their weekenders such as "The Universe Behind the Hug" and "Embrace Weekender" will be teaming up with Jerry Lai and Devon Near-Hill best known for their "Deconstructing Zouk Head Movement" workshop AND Jessica Lamdon from ZenZouk!!
This is the first weekender in NYC that will have 3 pedagogy of styles maintaining, aligning, and integrating their respective teachings in programs. We have successfully teamed up to create a thought out program interlacing three programs taught all over the USA nationally:
A) ZenZouk Elements
B) Deconstructing Zouk and
C) Embrace Zouk
WHAT ZOUK CONCEPTS and TECHNIQUES WILL BE TAUGHT?
We feel that it is important to discuss movement in both closed embrace and open embrace and how the two can align and when they can be transitioned. It is especially important to understand body movement related to footwork, framing, and hands to support the freedom of flowing in and out of positions including head movement to create such a flow and look. Get ready to use all parts of your body and feel the contrast, distinction, and well as the alignment and integration of these teachings. We seriously can not wait to have you all here with us!! LLZ team to lead us in this amazing weekend of connection, flow, and integration!!! Please note, all of these instructors have the solid base of Brazilian Zouk and Lambada making it one of the most integrative effective teaching styles to add to your base in dancing Zouk.
